With her ability to kill at a distance, the Archer was queen of the battlefield.

The temple, with its golden treasure was attractive to the Scythian warrior. However, the Archers guarding the temple compound made a frontal assault impossible. Though gold was not to be claimed this day, the Scythian was determined not to leave empty-handed.

The young Archer looked out from the walls of the temple compound. Was there motion at the edge of the woods? Yes! A flash of feathers and long hair betrayed the presence of an enemy. “Scythians.” she spat with disgust. “Scalp-hunting barbarians.” Then she shouted. “It is from you that we proudly defend our glorious temple!”

The bold Scythian warrior smiled. Her brief appearance at the edge of the woods was having its desired effect. The temple guard slipped from her post and sprinted towards the point that the Scythian had vacated.

Pausing at the entrance to the forest, the Archer was surprised to see a Scythian tent a few paces away. “We should be patrolling the forest,” she lamented. “The Scythian warriors boldly camp close to the temple—with the trees hiding their encampment!”

Concealed near the tent, the experienced Scythian watched the Archer approach the tent. Once the Archer disappeared inside, the Scythian silently followed.

The Archer, queen of the battlefield, is helpless in close quarter fighting. Without getting off a shot, the Archer is disarmed by the tomahawk-wielding Scythian. The Archer makes a futile attempt to flee as the Scythian taunts her prey. “A fine scalp your hair will make!” No gold today, but the Scythian will not leave empty-handed.
